Our server was so nice I forgot his name I think it started with a D, anyways we were a big group and he took care of us very well. The food was great and the portions as well. They have AYCE but my family just wanted to share so it was family style. But great place for a big group, next time I would want to try the AYCE.

I'd give Nlue fish a solid 4 star. We came on a Saturday night at dinner time and the restaurant was a bit empty. Nice decor inside and it's got outdoor seating too. Service was great, food also came out relatively quick. Their rolls were pretty tasty. I tried the eel roll, dragon roll, wagyu carnivore roll, toro nigeri, sweet shrimp, and I liked them all. My favorite is the wagyu carnivore roll, I like how the salt on the wagyu worked so well with the yuzu sweet dipping sauce. Yum!

Everything picked was solid. Very fresh and the chefs pick for the sashimi were solid. Toro, amberjack, yellowtail, salmon, tuna, tamago. So much value. We didn't do AYCE but was still super filling and worth. Was slightly afraid from some of the bad reviews that made me hesitant but so glad this place was great. Few tables not that lit well at night but asked to switch to brighter table. Very fresh fishies

As of June 29 2024. This is one of the best deals for AYCE premium NEVER FROZEN fish! That's right never frozen, always fresh fish. She did tell me that next week of July 1 2024 they are raising the gold tier to 120$!!! Come FAST! Also for locals- FREE parking across the street at the Wydam. Just tip the valet. From 10-3pm!!! One downside- SERVICE IS VERY SLOW.... Like to make the orders and take the orders... they are understaffed..hopefully this will get better Just 3 orders of Uni ($20) or Toro (24$) will make up for the cost of the gold tier!! See menu pics for the options. Drinks are NOT included in the AYCE. But you do get 1 mochi ice cream. I'd suggest obviously the high price Uni, Toro, yellow tail belly, Ikura, salmon, Ami ebi, the wagyu roll, lobster fried rice, and lobster bites. Ambience is like under the sea theme. Blue welcoming open air with picts of fish on the wall. Wish they had an aquarium to complete the theme. Wish I could come back before they raise the prices! Only thing I wouldn't recommend is the Wagyu steak. Super chewy. Not worth stomach spaeve

12/22/23 Been asked to join a few friends for a new menu In Waikiki. This place is spacious with tons of seating inside the restaurant and a few placed outside. The bar is nicely inviting being in the left side of the restaurant. The table that set up for us was close to the bar. Our server was wonderful her name Tiana. She did an excellent job of double duty and then some... she took care of our needs at the table. And made out drinks and continued with the care of my needs especially when there was one person in the party I was with whom had no manners himself... it was fine Tiana was a defuse to the situation at hand. I hope that when I return she comes to be waitress at my table again. The Blue Fish has a generous scope of sushi. The rolls have a delightful excitement about them... They have made their marks in possibly 3-4 other places in the US. Texas, Colorado, Korea and here in Hawaii. The location is just up the escalator on Lewers st. Above the ABC store at the corner of the Halekulani Hotel. I have tried the Mega Lobster roll, the Aloha roll, the Oahu roll, both the salmon tower and the signature Tuna Ahi Tower. The presentation on the Tuna Tower is a twist on your typical poke bowl. And for my favorite recommendation: The Waikiki Roll. It has a sweet flavor. If you can't get your mind to agree fruit salad or Sushi roll for lunch! Get that "Waikiki Roll" it's like the raspberry bree on toast or the Tomato Gazpacho cold soup, or that peanut butter chicken mole you had at a Mexican restaurant- trust me that Waikiki roll is a twister for the party... get your signature Blue Fish cocktail and order that roll... you'll thank me.. This is a last mention for the wonderful Restuarant relations person that hosted us. Stella, you did a wonderful job hosting the group I sat with. Please remember to never stop pitching this place.. it's so extraordinarily awesome and the space is so inviting! much Mahalo to you Stella. Stop by with a stomach cause it's all worth it!

Conveniently, they offer parking validation for those parking at Wyndham or Embassy Suites. Upon arriving, we noticed the place was quite empty, which initially made us uncertain about the quality of the food. The restaurant also features open-air seating, adding to the overall ambiance. To our pleasant surprise, the food was delightful. Sushi was fresh. The standout dish for me was the Wagyu roll, customized to my preference with precision torching. I particularly enjoyed the uni and amaebi as well. The service was adequate, though our waiter did miss some of our orders, requiring us to remind him.
